Jeffrey Decristofaro
About Me: I'm a native of Tennesse and current resident of Asheville, NC (although I put Charlotte up because Asheville was not listed in the number of locations where modeling/acting auditions are held). Formerly homeschooled, I'm a UNC-Asheville alumnus who graduated in May 2008 with a BA in Literature (Concentration Creative Writing, Minor Mass Communications) and currently am enrolled in the same university's Master of Liberal Arts program. I'm also a Creative Staff Intern for We Art the People, a non-profit organization working to network and enhance public exposure for local artists in the Western North Carolina region. I love cinema and it is my dream to make films as an actor/writer/producer/director, while modeling and publishing poetry/photography on the side. My interests include watching/collecting/studying/discussing films and film history, acting, modeling, writing (poetry/memoirs/treatments/screenplays), photography, digital video cinematography, theater, nature & gardening, space, weather, aircraft, world mythology, philosophy, long walks/hikes, dancing, swimming, gym workouts, martial arts, and sword collection/practice. Currently I am looking for paid modeling/acting gigs within my area, while reading poetry at poetry slams, advertising my modeling/photographic art online and at charity fundraisers, and best of all, writing a screenplay and shooting lavish DV stock footage for a science-fiction/fantasy/horror epic that I'm writing for my MLA Creative Writing Project.
